Yang Chunting, director of the Department of Commerce of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, said that in 2025, Guangxi will accelerate the construction of the China-ASEAN Economic and Trade Center, promote the establishment of a new batch of coordinated development zones and linkage innovation zones of the China (Guangxi) Free Trade Pilot Zone, and build an industrial cooperation center facing ASEAN.
On the same day, the 2025 Guangxi Business Work Conference was held in Nanning, and Yang Chunting made the above statement at the meeting. He introduced that in order to ensure the security and stability of the China-ASEAN industrial chain and supply chain, in 2024, Guangxi will accelerate the pilot construction of the China-Vietnam Cross-Border Economic Cooperation Zone, build an online trading platform for the China-ASEAN Fruit Trading Center, promote the Friendship Pass Port and Dongxing Port to be approved as “International Sanitary Land Ports”, and 11 seaports will be opened to the public.
In 2025, Guangxi will implement a special action plan to expand opening up, strengthen economic and trade cooperation with Vietnam, promote the coordinated upgrading and development of the “two countries, two parks” between China and Malaysia, promote the upgrading and development of key projects in the Guangxi-Brunei Economic Corridor, and the listing and operation of the Beihai Park of the China-Cambodia Industrial Park, support the upgrading and development of the China-Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone, and serve the construction of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0.
In terms of port construction, Guangxi will promote the trial operation of the China-Vietnam Friendship Pass-Friendship Freight Channel Smart Port Chinese project, plan the opening of the Pinglu Canal Port, and create a number of characteristic ports and specialized channels.
